The sculpture is the image of the female divine gaze, the symbol of the flour-de-lis, personifies perfection, therefore the expression "gilding the Lilly"means trying to improve something that does not need improvement.

"Gilding gold of the highest standard and painting the Lilly .. this is the waste of time and ridiculous excess.

Such symbolism embodies the prototype of the face of perfection who sees and observes everything that happens , where the features of face of a girl with the lines of the outlines of the Buddha are traced. Such an interpretation carries a dual meaning.

The sculpture was very difficult to perform because it was made without a single pin fixing the mass, and it hangs in static tension, which increases the pressure on the materials . Therefor materials were used that have a very powerful elastic effects that cracks of destruction by weight do not appear . 

This was a very bold experiment with materials!
